Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

Breast Cancer is the most common cancer among American women. Today, 1 in every 8 women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. This statistic hits close to home with Cogburn Health & Rehabilitation Centers. Carolyn Smith-the wife of our Chief Operating Officer, Prentiss Smith is a breast cancer survivor and was our inspiration in participating in this year’s event. Cogburn’s team name was “Cogburn’s Crusaders for Carolyn.” We had dozens of Cogburn employees and residents participating in the 5 mile walk. Cogburn, along with other community volunteers supporting Carolyn Smith raised a total of $1,905.00 for Breast Cancer. Check out the following pictures from the event!
